This is what i teach on occasion at a local bead shop. I started doing this when i was into silver smithing. However making my own links was way too much work. Started purchasing silver rings and selling the finished items. mostly bracelets. but silver is expensive and going up all the time. somewhere along the way i discovered anodized aluminum. it comes in a great selection of colors, is light weight and much cheaper. these are 2 bracelets i've kept as samples for students to look at. these are the byzantine pattern. easy and fast.
