Another very traditional pattern called 'Storm at Sea'. This poor quilt got quilted twice. I found the perfect thread that changed colors from lavender thru purple thru blue and green. Lola has never been fussy about what thread I make her use but she hated this thread. I changed the needle, tweaked the tension, oiled the thread spool. Did everything I could think of and finally took the whole thing off the frame and spent several evenings ripping it all out. Bought a different brand of thread and started over.
Sometimes having the patience to rethread every 8 inches is not a positive characteristic. I need to learn when to cut my losses and find a different direction or in this case a different thread. The quilting design is of fish swimming across the quilt.
